Aspect Supports New Concept in Sustainable Villa Design and Delivery
Aspect Project Management and Masdar City, Abu Dhabi’s urban innovation ecosystem, have launched a new concept for sustainable villas that generate enough solar energy to power the homes year-round. The Eco-Villas are designed to accommodate future population growth and meet a growing demand for sustainable family homes.
The recently completed four-bedroom villa concept includes an array of high-performance solar panels that will generate approximately 40,000 KWh per year. Careful orientation of the building, optimized natural lighting, a high-performance envelope as well as low-energy LED lighting, "Smart Home" technologies, the highly efficient Oairo HVAC delivery system and other design techniques dramatically reduce the villas annual energy demand.
The home uses up to 35 per cent less water than standard villas, thanks to low-flow toilets, faucets and showers, and other innovative water conservation measures.
Aspects Project Management's team of dedicated engineers led by our Technical Director, James Slade successfully completed the design and managed the delivery of the energy efficient MEP systems and "Smart Home" technologies utilized in this exciting project which is a ground breaking first for Abu Dhabi.
